With the latest update adding the ability to filter libraries by synced content, this app has become the best multi media app on the market hands down.
Everything works flawlessly streaming and couldn't be happier with the overall performance. For people complaining about the price, I challenge you to find a service that works as well as Plex does across a multitude of devices and configurations plus has an awesome online support community. For me, it's definitely worth every penny. The developers have regularly updated the WP app since release and each new version adds some great features. Can't wait to see what else is in store. Submitted on 5/30/2018 Review title of LeightonUPDATE DONT BUY - Enjoy Plex, doesn't work consistently Bought this version assuming it would be better and work better than the free web version (issues playing channels). It seems to consistently have issues with resuming where it left off and ending episodes early making me resort to using the web version.
Why did I even pay for this again?Update: Lowered from 3 to 2 stars as I've continued to have playback issues. The app also consistently crashes the first time it's opened after I put he computer to sleep. It's just not as reliable as the web app which also has its set of problems for me.Update 2: Checked back again months later to see if things would work properly. Downgraded to 1 star.Update 3: Just opened this again for the first time since last review and it still sucks. Don't waste your money. Submitted on Review title of AlexIt's useless now Whatever the dev team with the latest update, it's made this app completely unusable. The framerate is so bad that the audio ends up literally minutes ahead.
Everything plays just fine in the browser and on other app platforms, so its this app specifically. I have a powerful computer with SLI GPUs and an overclocked 4770K. It's not the hardware causing this to chug, and it's not the hardware the server is running on either as its CPU usage never rises above 15% in the testing I've done.Until the devs fix this issue, this app is completely unusable.
