Unable To Download Ndk For Mac
Android Ndk 17 Download
OS: Mac OS 10.12.6 VS: 2017 Community for Mac Issue description: I downloaded the latest vs 2017 from official site a few days ago and encountered some problems. It freezes frequently when it's checking to see if necessary components (Android SDK, Xamarin, etc.) are already installed, and a spinning colorful 'disk' will appear until it moves forward to the next step of the installation process. When I was trying to install SDKs for Android, IOS and Mac, it always returned a network error. After a few attempts, I found that it was the Android SDK that caused the issue as I was able to successfully install IOS an Mac SDKs with Android SDK unchecked. In VS, under Preferences - SDK Locations - Android - Tools, I checked a couple of boxes for tools, platforms, etc. And they all returned something like 'install successful' message, but the next time I reopened VS and went to the same path I saw that the status of those which previously appeared to be installed successfully was blank, meaning that nothing was actually installed. Also, Android SDK location and Android NDK location appeared 'not found'.
I wondered if it had something to do with the Android SDK option that I initially unchecked. So I opened the installer, after a few checking, it showed that the SDKs for ISO and Mac were already installed as they should be, and the Android SDK was not. So I checked the box for Android SDK + Xamarin and clicked 'Install and Update' but the installer got stuck again with the sign of the little spinning 'disk'. I then just left it like that and about an hour later it returned a network connection error.
I repeated the same process many times but the same problem reproduced. I was pretty sure there was no problem with my network and it had to be the Android SDK installation causing the issue. Besides, there is no standalone installation package for Android SDK, or maybe I don't know.
Please help me out.
