I went in and cleared the caches. Removed data stored offline. Shut down Firefox and restarted it.
Then when i reloaded i had to rescan and replace the macro. Checked the code page and now it's: s += m. parseInt(p.pop,10); tried the Firefox icon. And after scanning/reintroducing the macros. It now also functions ok.

Hope this helps track things down. OK, I've found what appears to be a similar(possibly the same) problem in a question on StackOverflow: I'm working on making the changes suggested there, as well as adding more information about the application caching events to the debug output remoku produces. For what it's worth, I think I understand the caching problem in firefox better now, and hopefully I'll be able to get it fully sorted soon.
I'll update soon. Interesting looking at the code. I did join the Roku developers thing. Just haven't had time to explore or play much. Perhaps this winter. I've made what I hope are the final changes to fix app updates in Firefox.
The current build date for all three channels is now July 31, 2012 10:35 AM (the seconds will differ slightly). All of the builds are in sync at the moment; beta releases will resume shortly(.see below), as soon as we're sure nothing else is broken. It may take one final clearing of the browser cache, including offline web content(in Firefox go to OptionsAdvancedNetwork) before the browser will accept the newest builds, but going forward, I'm hopeful that won't be a problem any longer. I've also added some more info to the debug screen, pertaining to application cache events.
This will show what the browser thinks it's doing while checking for and downloading updates. Most of the time, it should show 'appCache: noUpdate' as the last line in the debug screen immediately after loading the page.
If there is an update available, it will show 'appCache: updateReady'. There may be other appCache events report in debug, depending on the browser and other conditions, and that info may be useful in troubleshooting future issues.Next up: config import/export(as yet un-started) and a GUI for building macros (mostly finished). Even though I've been toying with a gui for macro building for a month now, I think prioritizing config import/export is probably for the best.
I just tried Remoku in Firefox 4.0.1 (the latest version that works with Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8, in which I'm 'stuck' — never mind why, please), and the remote control image comes up, but none of the clickable items do anything, including Settings, About. It worked fine in Safari, so I tried launching Firefox in Safe Mode to disable all Extensions, but no joy. I allow it to store cookies between restarts of Firefox, and allowed it to 'store data for offline use' when the little dialog came up the first time. I cleared the latter and tried again, but still get no response to any clicks whatsoever. I cleared my cache, but still no go.
Allowing 3rd party cookies makes no difference. I looked at the Remoku Firefox extension webpage, and it says it won't work on my v4.0.1, but that's a separate issue, I suppose — unless that means that the Remoku webpage per se won't, either. I just set up an Ubuntu virtual machine with a build from april of 2011, which used firefox 4.0 out-of-the-box. It seems to be working fine with the current stable build. Schmye Bubbula, any chance you can bring up the Firefox Error Console (Command-Option-J) or Web Console (Command-Option-K ) and get a screenshot of any errors that appear there? I'm not sure what's going on for you at this point, sorry to say.

Most of that is warnings (which for our purposes we can ignore). I think the final line is the key one. I'm thinking it might be a bug in the version of Firefox you're using (I know you said you're stuck with it). I've uploaded a beta to try to workaround what I think the problem might be. If you still get the same broken behavior, please (if you don't mind) post the error console output again and also the exact version of firefox (from the about window, should look approximately like this: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8 ) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8, but with different numbers of course). Clicked on the beta first. It came up and looks like the Aug 31 build is in. Remoku Beta Channel Build date: July 31, 2012 02:59:21 PM i didn't do any cache clearing. But it did prompt me to allow off line storage. The debug window: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 Browser has localStorage support. All my macros and favorites are still there. And they work in both the stable and beta. I did no clearing of caches or changed any Firefox settings. But i had rebooted firefox sometime after you made your changes when i had to do so after installing some add-on updates. So perhaps that's all i need to. Shutdown and reboot firefox.
